Pokémon Sun and Moon: Meet Wimpod, Bounsweet, Comfey, and Mudsdale!

Four new Pokémon were revealed on Pokémon's Youtube channel this morning: Wimpod, Bounsweet, Comfey, and Mudsdale!

Wimpod, the Turn Tail Pokémon, is a Bug/Water-type. It has an ability known as Wimp Out that will cause Wimpod to either run away or switch out when its health drops below half. When threatened, Wimpod spits a poisonous gas.

Bounsweet, the Fruit Pokémon, is a Grass-type. It can come with either the Oblivious or Leaf Guard ability. This Pokémon's scent is known to have a calming effect on those around it.

Comfey, the Posy Picker Pokémon, is a Fairy-type. It can come with the Flower Veil or Triage ability. With Triage, Comfey's restorative moves are of the highest priority in battle. Comfey throws flowers at its attackers before fleeing or retaliating.

Mudsdale, the Draft Horse Pokémon, is a Ground-type with very powerful hooves. It can come with the Own Tempo or Stamina ability. Stamina raises Mudsdale's defense by one stage when it is hit with an attack. This Pokémon is able to destroy vehicles with one kick!

Mimikkyu and Kiteruguma, shown above, have received their English names: Mimikyu and Bewear, respectively.

Mimikyu has the Disguise ability, which enables it to escape damage once before changing its appearance. Bewear may come with the new ability Fluffy, which allows it to take half damage from direct attacks, but twice as much damage from Fire-type attacks.

Hyper Training

Bring out the most in your Pokémon with Hyper Training! Level 100 Pokémon may engage in a new activity known as Hyper Training with a man named Mr. Hyper. Bring him Bottle Caps and he'll improve your Pokémon's stats!

When Magearna is distributed, it will be holding one of these items.

Host Friendly Competitions on Pokémon Global Link

Once Pokémon Sun and Moon are released, PGL services for X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire will end in favor of working with the new titles instead.

With this new service, you will be able to host games on the PGL: Set your own regulations, choose your competition style, and gather your friends for some serious fun! If you are in the same area as other players, Live Competitions may also be hosted. Once the regulations for a Live Competition are made, a QR code will be generated for other players to scan.

What do you think about the new Pokémon, Hyper Training, and the upcoming Global Link services?
