What is a Draft League?
A Draft League is a competition where, rather having the ability to use any Pokémon to build a team, you are limited to 12 Pokémon that you select during a draft. Because of the limited pool of Pokémon available to each person, you'll need to use creative team building to win games and have a shot at winning the tournament as a whole. This Draft League will be Smogon-style meaning you are restricted to only using a certain number of Pokémon from each Smogon tier.
1. While not necessary, it is recommended that you have a Discord account for when the draft occurs. If there is a time when everyone is available to do the draft we can get it done in a matter of hours than over the course of a week.
2. We will be using Smogon tiers for the purpose of this tournament, though outside of drafting they will hold little importance.
3. Save your replays and post them in the thread as proof of victory. Your win will not count unless there is a replay.
4. No ghosting (helping another person do their battle).
5. If you are not able to do your battle with your opponent within the week allotted one of two things will happen:
a: The person who failed to make contact/schedule/show up for battle will automatically lose.
b. If neither player made contact, the winner will be decided through coin flip.
6. You are not only allowed to change your team between battles, but encouraged to do so to have a better shot at winning versus your opponent.
The nine people participating will each be assigned a number from one to nine with no two people receiving the same number. There will be 12 rounds overall to the draft. The draft will be a snake draft and have the order be one through nine in the odd numbered rounds and nine through one in the even numbered rounds. This will mean that no one will repeatedly have the last pick and each round and vice versa. you may select whatever Pokémon you want in whatever order as long as it remains on the board. The following is how many Pokémon you are allowed to draft onto your team from each tier. For example, one can choose to have no UU Pokémon on their team, 6 UU Pokémon on their team, or anywhere in between as long as they don't exceed the allowed number. 0 Pokémon allowed from tiers Uber and Up
Up to 3 Pokémon allowed from UUBL and up
Up to 6 Pokémon allowed from tiers RUBL and Up
Up to 9 Pokémon total allowed from tiers NUBL and Up
Up to 12 Pokémon total allowed from tiers LC and Up
This is to add diversity to each person's team in the Pokémon they are allowed to choose and to keep anyone from easily stomping the competition just because they got the "best Pokémon."
Tournament Format: There will be nine slots available for this tournament. The nine participants will be randomly separated into three groups of three. Over the course of the league you are scheduled to play the people in your group twice and the people in other groups once. Two battles will be scheduled each week over the course of five weeks leading to a total of ten games. The person in each group with the best record along with the person with the best record that did not have the best record in their group will move onto a best of three tournament bracket with seeding based on record. In the event of a tie, it will be broken by head to head. If a tie needs to be broken within a group, it will be determined by a tiebreaker match. The last person standing is the winner.

No, I think leaving this as a serious, relatively meme-free competitive battling official event thread is the best course of action. It won't kill you guys to meme on the Discord; you do that already anyway.
In other news, the draft league has now entered its sixth week, with Wheegalure basically kicking everybody's butts. The wildcard spot in the finals is still very much up for grabs, however!
