So, I've been wanting to do a Pokemon Challenge for some time now, and I've finally decided to get on that with Summer in session! I love feedback by the way and it is truly appreciated no matter how small! It's nice to know someone's interested and it keeps me motivated. :P

The day started off pretty normal, I checked out my e-mail, having only one new one from the morning. It was from Ethan and it was titled, “Adventure! Excited!”. All he had written was, “I love Pokemon!”, as well as his favorite Marill stamp in the bottom. After checking on Facebook, I headed downstairs. My mom stopped me at the foot of the stairs, telling me Professor Elm was asking a favor of me and to stop by his lab. After that she handed me my new bag and Trainer’s Card and I was off! Outside, Marill bumped into me and Ethan waved over from the lab next door and Marill hurried over to him. I headed to the Pokemon Lab and saw a red-haired kid peering through the window. I ignored it and headed inside. Professor Elm wasted no time explaining to me that he wanted me to see if walking with Pokemon brought upon stronger bonds between Trainers and their Pokemon. I readily agreed but he was interrupted by an e-mail that was about Mr. Pokemon. He was busy with his research so he asked if I could go in his place instead. I agreed and he said I could have a pick of any of the Pokemon on the table. I thanked him and thought over my choices. I let loose my new Pokemon, a sturdy little Chikorita who looked up at me with curious eyes. I smiled, bending down to his height and petting his head. “I’ll call you... Jiven!” Chikorita looked up at me, twitching his leaf in thought before nodding and smiling. Professor Elm smiled, telling me I could walk with Jiven all the way to Mr. Pokemon’s house. He gave me directions to go a bit North of Cherrygrove City and I thanked him and began to leave. His assistant stopped me at the door and handed me a few Potions. I thanked him and then finally headed out of the Pokemon Lab. Outside, I saw Ethan and his Marill playing around and we stopped to say hi and chat. He mentioned I should show my mom and I agreed, heading to my house. My mother told me my Pokemon was adorable and was reminded that my Pokegear had been fixed. She gave it to me and wished me luck on my way to Mr. Pokemon’s house. Just as I was about to leave the town, Professor Elm stopped me. He gave me his number in case of an emergency or if anything came up. I thanked him and told him I would keep it in mind. Finally prepared to leave, I headed onto Route 29.
Route 29 was peaceful, I barely ran into any Pokemon at all. I had no Pokeballs so I defeated any I cam across and continued on. The Pokemon Jiven and I did run into, he took care of an eventually leveled up to level six. I praised him as he learned Razor Leaf too! A few steps into Cherrygrove City, an old man stopped me and began to ramble about rookie trainers. He led me around to explain about the Pokemon Center, Pokemart, Route 30, the sea, and even his own house. He complained about my slow walking speed, but my shoes were old and uncomfortable so I had to take slow steps. Then as a gift he told me he would give me a pair of Running Shoes - his... Thankfully he was kidding and gave me a brand new pair. They were very comfy and I felt like I could just run forever! After healing up Jiven and checking the Pokemart for Pokeballs (which there were none), I headed for Route 30. The elderly man who stopped me before caught up to me and loaded the Town Map onto my Pokegear. I thanked him and he wished me luck on my journey. On the route, I saw a house and headed inside. It turned out not to be Mr. Pokemon’s house, but I didn’t have the heart to tell the man inside that I was looking for his house and not the current one. The man was so happy to have visitors, he gave me an Apricorn Box and a lesson on Apricorns. After saying goodbye, I picked a Green Apricorn up by his house as I left. I made my way farther into the route, training Jiven up to level seven as we came upon a house far back on the route. I picked a Pink Apricorn by that house and then headed inside. I was greeted by Mr. Pokemon who handed me a Pokemon Egg. He was hoping Professor Elm would be able to identify it. He healed up my Pokemon after chatting some more and then the elderly man who was sitting at the table began to talk. He introduced himself as Professor Oak and took a look at my Pokemon. He understood why Professor Elm would pick me to help him out. Seeing as I was dependable, he game me a Pokedex, asking me to help complete it. I also registered Professor Oak’s number in my Pokegear before he left. Saying goodbye to Mr. Pokemon, I headed back outside. As soon as I stepped outside, Professor Elm called. He sounded extremely distraught and told me to get back right away. I was happy for the Running Shoes now and began to sprint back. When I reached Cherrygrove City, I stopped for a breather. After catching my breath, I began to run back towards Route 29. I was stopped though as I saw a red-haired boy nonchalantly walking towards me. He said is was a waste that I got a Pokemon at the lab and called me a wimp. He then challenged me to a duel in which I readily accepted. After some Leering, Growling, and Tackling - Jiven was successful in defeating the boy’s Cyndaquil! He shoved his Trainer Card at me and told me he was going to be the best Pokemon Trainer ever. Then he yelled at me for taking his Trainer Card and seeing his name before heading off. Shrugging, I praised Jiven on reaching level eight before continuing. Back at the Pokemon Lab, I saw Professor Elm with a police officer. Apparently a Pokemon had been stolen and the police officer thought that I had did it! Ethan, who had come through the door, ran up to him and defended me, as well as mentioning the same red-haired boy who was peering through the window. I said I had battled him and the police officer asked if I got his name. I thought back hard to his Trainer Card that I had glimpsed at. Ryan. After both Ethan and the police officer left, I handed the Mystery Egg to Professor Elm. He said he would keep it and then I told him about Professor Oak and my Pokedex. He seemed shocked and told me he knew I was different. He mentioned I should take the Pokemon Gym Challenge and I decided there and then that I would. He also mentioned that I should talk to my mom and that’s where I headed next. My mom offered to save my money and I agreed, giving her some of my savings. After saying goodbye to her, I headed back to Route 29. Ethan and Marill were there waiting for me. He explained Pokeballs to me and demonstrated. He also gave me some before leaving on his own journey. Now that I could catch more Pokemon, I looked down at Jiven. I decided that I would find him a match, a lifelong friend, someone to depend on, maybe even love. Smiling, I decided that all my Pokemon I carry would have a match, maybe even someone to love.
Jiven didn’t really find anyone to really love on Route 29, so I decided to stop by Route 46 and see if there was anyone of interest to him there. Almost immediately his eye was caught at a female Spearow pecking at the long grass. He pranced right over to her and she caught his eye, knowing he wanted to battle. The two went at it, Jiven being higher level and hitting her low with a single Razor Leaf. I threw the Pokeball and successfully caught her! I named her Janna and we headed back to Route 29 after some training. Just as we were leaving Route 29, a male Pidgey caught Janna’s eye. She saw this as an opportunity to show off her superior bird skills and challenged him. I switched her out for Jiven as she was weak and he lowered the Pidgey down low so I could capture him. I named him Gale and switched him to walk behind me as I headed to Cherrygrove City. After healing up and buying some Pokeballs, I went back to Route 29 and trained Janna and Gale some before heading into Route 30. After fighting through some trainers on Route 30, we headed up some stairs to Route 31. I decided to check out the Dark Cave right on the Route and Gale headed in with me. We found a Potion but decided to head out after that, still not running into any potential loves for Gale. We made it to the gate connecting into Violet City and Ethan stopped us to give us a Vs. Recorder, sweet! After healing up, I went over to Route 36 and was given Rock Smash by a nice man. I didn’t want to visit the Ruins of Alph so I headed over to Route 32 instead. I had been hoping to run into a Mareep but instead Gale’s eye was caught by a female Bellsprout who was dancing around. After a few Tackles, I was able to capture her and named her Zyra. After hearing that the Gym was Flying-Type, I decided to head back to dark cave in hopes of catching a Geodude. Luckily, just a few steps into the cave I tripped over a Geodude! After one Gust from Gale, I was able to capture the Geodude and name him Rocco. After heading back to Violet City and healing up, I trained Rocco and Zyra up on Route 31 before taking on Sprout Tower. I made my way up the Tower pretty easily with Janna and Gale. At the top, I ran into Ryan as he was just leaving, mumbling about how his Pokemon need harsh punishments or whatever. I scoffed as he left before taking on Elder Li. His first Bellsprout was very easy to take care of but then his Hoothoot came out. Gale was left with 9 health after taking out Hoothoot and luckily he hit the last Bellsprout with one Gust and came out victorious - soloing all three of his Pokemon! After being complimented for my battling skills, and receiving TM Flash, Rocco fell in love with a Rattata I named Minny and trained a bit. After some training and healing up, I decided to face off against Violet City’s Gym.
Chikorita Spearow Jiven ♂ Janna ♀ Level 9 Level 11 No Item No Item

Gotta love the amount of work you put into these updates. The artwork is also refreshing since it isn't the same old in-game sprite artwork. Perhaps when you catch more pokemon, you can switch out Minny and either Gale or Janna. Raticates aren't the best in the long run. Perhaps a Scyther to evolve or even a Houndoom will surely benefit you. You could also drop Zyra since you already have a Grass type in Jiven. For the time being I reccomend catching Magmar in the Burned Tower (forgot its name) and also catch a Slowpoke in the Slowpoke well.
Thanks! :D I do like to write and for anyone reading I do want to make it enjoyable. I'm not taking credit for any artwork, just Google Image searches. XD I think visuals always add to the fun of everything. I do want some different Pokemon though. That would mean I would need to let someone die though as you can't box any Pokemon. >.< I want to see how many deaths I can go without though. :P It all depends on luck for running into some of those Pokemon as my first encounters from here on out! Update coming tomorrow so stay tuned! :P Perhaps even two tomorrow, I had a friend over for four days straight so I wasn't able to update much.
I love feedback by the way and it is truly appreciated no matter how small! It's nice to know someone's interested and it keeps me motivated. :P
After some good training, I took on Falkner. He started out with his Pidgey and I started with Minny, though replaced her with Rocco who took it out in one Rock Throw. Gust, though not effective, was really hitting Rocco hard with Falkner’s Pidgeotto. After a few Rock Throws, I was able to knock it out but not before being left with seven health. After the battle and obtaining my badge, I got a call from the Professor who wanted me to meet his assistant in the Pokemart and take care of the egg he was given. I agreed and put Minny in the PC, through Rocco’s protests, and grabbed the egg. After exiting the Pokemart, this crazy lady in a kimono was spinning around and talking about how amazing my new Pokemon Egg was. Then she told me to take care of it before running off. Okay. Mysterious. I ran around a bit after that and was able to hatch the egg in about eight minutes. A male Togepi hatched and I named him Mohandas. Rocco is bugging me now about Minny so I place Mohandas in the PC and take Minny back out. There was a reunion of love that even made me all warm and fuzzy inside. I headed off to Route 32 now and this man who was guarding the rest of the route stopped me and congratulated me on my badge. He gave me a Miracle Seed and I gave it to Jiven. I continued on through the long route, fighting trainers and training up the Pokemon. I was a bit nervous at one part when Minny was left with 2 health fighting a Trainer’s Wooper and I even had to use two Potions. Rocco would be so mad at me if his love died. Eventually I reached a random Pokemon Center in the middle of nowhere and healed up all my Pokemon. The Fisherman in there gave me an Old Rod which was pretty cool and I learned about a Pokeball maker named Kurt in the next town. I said my goodbyes and headed towards Union Cave. I stopped by a rock, taught Minny Rock Smash, and obtained a Shell Bell from it before heading into the cave. I first encountered some water and fished away, nabbing a female Goldeen which I named Nami. It was pouring pretty hard outside the cave so I hurriedly picked a Pink and Black Apricorn before scurrying into the perfectly dry town (wierd). Right outside the town was a man and a uniformed man with a red R on his chest arguing. He won’t allow me to go down into Slowpoke Well so I just head into Azalea Town. I healed up my Pokemon and then bought some Pokeballs and Repels at the Pokemart. Seeing as it was getting pretty late, I decided I would rest at the Pokemon Center and visit Kurt tomorrow.
Eevee, you are allowed to box pokemon in Wedlockes, are you not? I remember in my Nuzlocke I boxed the pokemon that I caught after I had a full party. Nice update by the way. Yeah, I like feedback too, keeps you motivated to continue the challenge. Speaking of challenges I gotta go Update mine. Oh and, I like the way you make it as if the Pokemon are actually in love, adds to the feeling of the Wedlocke.
5. You may NOT deposit your Pokémon into the PC. If you want a new Pokémon on your team but your team is full, you must either release a Pokémon on your team or have it die in battle. (But that's awfully cruel!)
There may be times you need to make an exception-- such as needing a slot in your party for receiving a gift Pokémon or requiring an HM buddy to progress. You may deposit a Pokémon in this instance, but the substitute may NOT battle, and must be put right into the PC (and your party Pokémon put back in your team) as soon as it is no longer needed.
Not allowed to box Pokemon, they are in love, it would break their hearts to see their partner put away for not being good enough! :P
Thanks Deku! I was scared people would lose interest too. >.<
Wow. Can't believe I missed this. However I will be following. And if you are having trouble in putting images for your pokemons then you can easily get and awesome image (you can get 3D images too) from Marriland's pokedex for any game. You choose the pokemon you want and just copy the image URL from the sprite viewer.
Anyways ... good luck and your team is starting to shape !
Oh damn. That just makes life a tad harder. Well actually once you face Whitney, I guarantee some of your pokes are gonna die. I remember that little Cow Devil was the bane of my Quilava's existence back in Silver on my GBA. Same story with my Soul silver.
