Another Top 5 where my #1 makes it, but my piece on it doesn't get included.
I'm surprised that this one took my top spot, especially since it comes from a generation that overall received not a lot of fanfare, but this is one menace of a starter. While Popplio and Brionne have decent stats all-around, their designs have made for a starter that I'm always happy to be using, with them being sea lions and all. But when it becomes a Primarina and gets that awesome Fairy-typing, it becomes a solid Pokemon to have. The typing gives it some pretty good resistances throughout the main game, and with its great Special stats and its unique Z-Move, Oceanic Operetta, it has served a dominant force when I've used it in-game. I've used this thing in the Gen VII games plenty of times, and it always holds me up very well. While it might seem like a weird choice for my top pick (again), it just does what I need it to even with so little. And its concept is cool, too, and it has good uniqueness to me in the face of all the other Water-type starters. And therefore, it takes my pick for my favorite Pokemon starter of all of them.
That aside, the picks that ended up on this lineup were a good mix of them. Kinda wish Snivy (my #2 pick) had made it, though.
I can't believe one of my **** explanations was used.
I'm very much pleased with the top choice in the list, and then who cares about the other 4 and honorable mentions there's no Pikachu where the **** is Pikachu like look at this amazing explanation for why Pikachu should be up there
Only one starter is an electric type. Only one starter appeared in a single game as a starter, and is catchable in a bunch more. Only one starter got to be the star in their own version. Only one starter is the star of the anime. It's Pikachu. It owns.
I didn't even mention that it got to star in the greatest game of all time, Hey You, Pikachu! c'mon, that's quality starter material right there.
I guess I have to educate Azurilland with the real Top 5
This very special zappy boy not only invented the power of thunder, but uses it to zap opponents with godly jolts of divine surges. Nothing stands in the way of this colossal yellow behemoth striking you with the power equally to one thousand of Zeus's lightning bolts. I like this form of Arceus because it gives his white coat a shimmering geam, and makes him look very rich and famous. Who doesn't want this filthy rich king in their pocket?
Guardian of the forest and protector of all natural life on the planet. Some say mother nature controls the flow of our planet, but meet Mother Nature's father: Grandfather Terra. From the highest of mountains to the smallest of insects, this benevolent spirit watches over all creatures of all shapes and sizes so their small time on this mortal planet will be one of importance and impact. This form of Arceus is special because it has great offensive and defensive typing, and really gives the Grass-type a powerful leader to be proud of.
Behold the oceanic emperor. Many a sailor tells the tale of a Pokémon sighted over the horizon controlling powerful storms of chaos and destruction, while others thank this creature for guiding them to safety and salvation in the bitter and unforgiving sea. The lord of the waves chruns of the mighty and invisible force of the planet's oceans, aligning tectonic plates and keeping this mountainous force out of the hands of those would who seek to abuse it. Though the ocean holds many secrets, this big fishy keeps them all suppressed under the mighty force of the deep ocean trenches. This form of Arceus is the supreme bulky Water-type, and will steer none wrong in battle as he shows all foes the supreme power of the sea.
Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, hug it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it. Do you dare try to find a Pokémon with more grace? With more likability? More overall cuteness? You can try, but you will fail. Not all gods can wear pastel, but this flexible creature lets you know that not only is he powerful, he's also totemo kawaii. If gods can assume the same exaggerated strength as the worlds' strongest warriors, why not use that power to become the more adorable thing the world has ever seen? This is my favorite form of Arceus because it's big, it's big, it's adorable, and it's powerful. Make way for the king, queen, and overlord of style, beauty, and and strength.
The original, the briliant, the flawless. In all my years on this Earth I've never been so privileged as to lay my eyes on a being as miraculous as this. His legs lightly touch the ground, but never all the way, because he would never ruin his beautiful and colorful nails. His hair swoops behind his head in a avant-garde flow much akin to Beyoncé's hair fun, but instead of being powered by electricity, it's powered by divine will. A grand and majestic hoop swirls around it's body and focuses all of this power and beauty into one space so he can draw from his endless pool of power as a he pleases. And his coat, shimmering with every color of the rainbow and ever changing to adapt to the current needs of this foolish, mortal planet. This is a Pokémon we don't deserve to have in our Pokéballs, but during those rare opportunities where GameFreak is feeling gracious enough, we too may invite this benevolent quadrupedal king to join us on our adventure. Arceus is an inspiration for self confidence, inspiring me that there and times where you can be a gentle giant, and other times where no fool deserves your mercy. It's the strongest, it's the cutest. Arceus is an icon, a celebrity, a QUEEN. Arceus will not ask you to bow down and obey, only that you too find the strength within yourself to make this world your own and do your part to make everyone welcomed around you. Be kind to others, but only those who deserve it. And while you're doing that, look absolutely flawless.
Coming up with the bottom 3 was really difficult. Number 5 was the hardest. I had to leave out Manaphy, Darkrai, and Magearna. So good job Victini, for beating out 3 other Pokemon you were basically tied with.
