So this is kinda just a cute little thread I wanted to make, because it's spring time and I've been thinking a lot about these little things scattered around the world called Parks! They're so simple, yet so wonderful. It's a spot for recreation, sports, dates, picnics, parties, everything you can think of. And every city and place I can think of has one or more of these parks unique to them.
So my question is, what parks do you have in your area? Do you have a favorite? Are there any special memories attached to that park? Do you live anywhere with any famous parks, like national parks or nature museums and caves? I would really like to know!
Me myself, there's a park very close to where I live that's filled with nature and trees and walks and ponds. It's really beautiful. I went there for Christmas this year, and had a wonderful winter stroll with my close friends and it was very lovely.
I live just across the street from a park and it's super cute. But only during the day. The thing about parks is they get really freakin weird at night.
The parks in my hometown are all ones I have an emotional connection to. I grew up with them and went to so many birthdays at them lol. But I haven't been to them in so long... I should change that. There's this one in a town next to my hometown that is so big and beautiful and aaa now I wanna go back =')
Do state and national parks count? I mean I know they have the word park in the name, but I don't think something like White Sands National Park fits the standard mental image of a park. As for standard parks, there's one within walking distance of me where I'd hangout with friends when I was younger. Although I've never really liked parks, sure I enjoy the scenery (especially when the bluebonnets are in bloom.) but I don't really care for spending my time in a park as opposed to reading a history book indoors.
There's a park near me with a few picnic tables and a few basketball courts. I enjoy going there to play basketball and lay in the grass. It's really peaceful and quiet there, so it lets me gather my thoughts and what not.
