I absolutely love Frank. I could listen to Big Band/Crooner tunes all day. Not my favorite song of his, but a classic!
Friends In Low Places - Garth Brooks: 4/10
Not really a country fan, but hey, I respect Garth.
Jambalaya - Hank Williams Jr: 2/10
Yeah. I wasn't feeling it at all. Again, not a country fan, and this is even twangier than the usual stuff.
You Were Cool - The Mountain Goats: 7/10
I actually thought this was pretty interesting. The guitar progression got a little tired as it went on, but I enjoyed this song. I like his voice.
Lost Memory - sakuyzo: 8/10
This was pretty epic. I felt like I was in a boss battle or Erza Scarlet was about to rip me to shreds. I love this kind of awesome, techno/instrumental music. Makes me feel pumped.

~ The important thing is not how long you live. It's what you accomplish with your life. While I live, I want to shine, I want to prove that I exist. If I could do something really important, that would definitely carry on into the future. And so, if I were to disappear, I think all that I have accomplished will go on. That is, that would mean that it's living, right? ~
My Way - Frank Sinatra | 9.0 | Soothing, nice lyrics and melody. To me, what makes this song interesting is the lyrics, since they tell a story and show a lifestyle. Basically the man in this song lived life to its fullest; no regrets. Not the best out there, maybe, but nicely done.
Friends In Low Places - Garth Brooks | 5.5 | It wasn't bad, just nothing that caught my attention. Jiggly uplifting tune, though
Jambalaya - Hank Williams Jr | 4.5 | Not very memorable, though I thought of the Princess and the Frog when he said 'Bayou'
You Were Cool - The Mountain Goats | 6.5 | I liked the energy put into the singing. Not something I'd listen to on muy own, but also not something I'd reject.
Lost Memory - sakuyzo | 7.0 | Nothing about this song seemed outstanding to me, just pretty. I liked the sound of the instruments and overall harmony.
Just Another Dream by Cathy Dennis 7/10 | This was nice. Sounded very pop but also like it's from decades ago. I kinda like that about it. Didn't feel particularly special tho.
Human by Christina Perri 8/10 | Ok there is a reason I've known every word to this for years OK. This song also inspired my azuri title for a long time a while back. I used to love it and now I just subtly appreciate it. It's a nice song, i like how raw she sounds and how that plays into the message that goes with it
Lucid Dream by Juice Wrld 6/10 | Always thought this song was just alright. The flow is ok, it's pretty catchy and all, but the vocals are a little too jarring for me to enjoy casually.
In the Night by The Weeknd 8.5/10 | I actually rly like the weeknd lole. his songs are so catchy and for some reason his voice is like hhhhhh to me. This particular song has always rly appealed to me and has gotten stuck in my head... I don't know what it is about it okay. I just know I rly like it.
Second Chance by Shinedown 5/10 | o i know this song. lole i've always been neutral toward it and that didn't change after another listen thru. not bad tho
Just Another Dream by Cathy Dennis: 10/10 - Hey, one of my picks! This British act displays her raw vocal intensity in one of her three hits from the year I was born. There's quite a bit going on in this one. Fun fact, she's written a few songs you may recognize, like Can't Get You Out Of My Head by Kylie Minogue, Toxic by Britney Spears, and I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry. Also, disclaimer, no, those backing vocals are NOT Rick Astley. xD
Human by Christina Perri: 8/10 - I didn't care much for Jar of Hearts, but something about this one just makes me happy to hear it. Perhaps its melody and rhythm. Yeah, that's it.
Lucid Dreams by Juice Wrld: 3/10 - Yuck. More interchangeable rap, except with angst added in. "I love and I hate you and I cannot change you so I must replace you"? Get out.
In The Night by The Weeknd: 10/10 - HUGE favorite of mine from 2016. The Weeknd has been declared by some as Michael Jackson-lite, and while a few of his other hits from this decade have tried to capture the mark, I think this one does it best. Lots going on, so much to like, and despite the dark story the song has for it, that doesn't take away from what it is for me.
Second Chance by Shinedown: 6/10 - Not a bad song, but I've had my share of hearing it enough times to know that this kind of sappy apologetic stuff can get overdone.
Definitely an enjoyable round, other than Lucid Dreams. Two songs I absolutely adore and another I consider solid. Looking forward to the next one!
Just Another Dream - Cathy Dennis: 8/10 This was a fun one. It's got this infectious energy to it that makes me want to move around, which is always something I like in a song.
human - Christina Perri: 8/10 I always did like this song. Her voice is so powerful when she really gets going, and it still manages to be soothing throughout.
Lucid Dreams - Juice Wrld: 6/10 Not the kind of thing I'm really into, but it was alright for what it was. I felt like it went on a bit too long, though.
In the Night - The Weeknd: 6/10 Man, I'm just not a fan of The Weeknd. Something about his stuff just gets on my nerves for some reason. That said, I didn't really dislike this song, so I'm gonna give it a better score than I would otherwise.
Shinedown - Second Chance: 7/10 Oh my god, I never knew what this song was called or who did it, and it played all the time on the radio when I was in highschool, and it always bugged the hell out of me that I never knew what it was. Anyway this was alright.
I have listened to three of these songs extensively so not much work for me this round haha, absolutely did not mind further listens of these
Just Another Dream - Cathy Dennis: 7/10 This was super groovy! I enjoyed it thoroughly, happy that I was exposed to this. Since I had heard all the other songs in this round before, happy I got something new.
human - Christina Perri: 6.5/10 This is a solid pretty good. I never knew this was a Christina Perri song til now. There are a couple others of hers I like more but I still enjoyed this. I can really feel the emotion on this one.
Lucid Dreams - Juice Wrld: 8/10 Juice is ****ing HEAT and I love pretty much all I've heard of him. This is pretty good, but there are a couple songs of his I like a little more. This is still great however hence the high rating. He gives me heavy Post Malone vibes which if you know me is a very good thing.
In the Night - The Weeknd: 9.5/10 - Gonna keep it real with you all I nominated this so I love it obviously. The Weeknd is probably my favorite artist right now.
Shinedown - Second Chance: 8/10 Shinedown's a great band and I think this was the song that introduced many people, myself included, to them. Their songs get better but I of course like this one too.
tfw this round was entirely better than every other song in the previous round, shoutout to RNGesus
Just Another Dream by Cathy Dennis: 6/10 - This wasn't bad, but it didn't grab my attention enough to merit a higher score. Aside from that one line pounded into my head, not memorable.
Human by Christina Perri: 9/10 - Mhm, I heard this quite a bit on the radio a few years ago. I like how it starts out, with the minimal instruments showing off her voice well. The energy of the chorus is good too.
Lucid Dreams by Juice Wrld: 2/10 - Not enjoyable for me at all; I couldn't stand the singer's voice, and the rhythm really threw me out of it.
In the Night by The Weeknd: 10/10 - You want to talk about a jam, this is it. Riveting, in a number of ways.
Second Chance by Shinedown: 10/10 - I had no idea this was a Shinedown song. I have limited experience with them, but everything I've heard is great. Something about his voice.
Just Another Dream - Cathy Dennis: 6/10 This genre never appealed to me. Feels like I listened to nothing, but it's not a bad song.
Human - Christina Perri: 5/10 Alright lyrics but just not my jam. Just a little too slow for me. Like above, not bad, just not really anything else. This song felt too long.
Lucid Dream - Juice Wrld: 8/10 This is my aesthetic. Total banger, best song of this round. It's so out-there, just doing its own thing and doing it so well. Songs like this have been right up my alley recently.
In the Night - The Weeknd: 8/10 It's an alright song, but it's not anything special or revolutionary. Can't hate though, it's a banger.
Second Chance - Shinedown: 8/10 Been a while since I jammed to this song. Pretty good, though not a masterpiece. Shinedown is lit.

It doesn't matter where we go, there's always someone that doesn't agree with us. AMA | AID
Just Another Dream - Cathy Dennis: 6/10 It dragged on quite a bit and I was pretty bored towards the end. It started off pretty good, but it got a bit repetitive after a bit.
Human - Christina Perri: 9/10 I love this song so much omg. I have a lot of issues and this song just reminds me to keep going and that I'll be okay. It's gonna be rough, but I'll get through it.
Lucid Dream - Juice Wrld: 6/10 I think the vocals kinda sucked (to be fair, I don't like this type of music), but the background track was beautiful~ I'm only giving this a slightly good score for the instrumentals tbh. also i agree with scott that the "I love and I hate you and I cannot change you so I must replace you" was a major turn off for me and the lyrics kinda sucked imo
In the Night - The Weeknd: 7/10 I don't think I understood a single word other than "in the night she comes crawling" and a few other lyrics. The rest of it was just like keyboard smash. Again, the instrumentals were the highlight of this song.
Second Chance - Shinedown: 5/10 Omg a song I know. I think it's okey. Not horrible, not amazing. I just wanted it to stop halfway through bc it got sorta boring.
Just Another Dream - Cathy Dennis: 7/10 It was funky and interesting, but it kinda overstayed it’s welcome for me. Still decent
Human - Christina Perri: 4/10 This didn’t grab my attention at all. I was rather bored during this one.
Lucid Dream - Juice Wrld: 6/10 The song felt rather derivative and I didn’t care for the vocals, but the instrumentation saved it. In the Night - The Weeknd: 6/10 A decent one, though not something I found memorable or interesting for myself.
Second Chance - Shinedown: 10/10 Oh this song. I thought it was a Nickelback song for the longest time, except that it was actually really good lol. I really liked the subject matter as well.
Just Another Dream - Cathy Dennis | 3.5 | The chorus ended up stuck to muy mind, and unfortunately not in a good way (Just another dream... Just another dream...). The thing with these songs, from my perception, is that the lyrics don't really have much meaning, and the melody seems like little thought was put into it.
Human - Christina Perri | 8.8 | I had heard this song before, and enjoy it and the lyrics are sweet and the melody is pretty.
Lucid Dream - Juice Wrld | 7.3 | I liked it. The harmony and lyrics were good, but the singing sounded weird at times. Not my kind of music but It was good in its own way.
In the Night - The Weeknd | 5.5 | It didn't stand out to me. Sounds and lyrics that didn't make much sense and a harmony that seemed to drag on. And yet, it had a certain charm.
Second Chance - Shinedown | 7.8 | Catchy tune. I liked the harmony combined with the vocals. I liked the style too. Didn't resonate completely with me but it was good.
Just Another Dream-Cathy Dennis 5/10. This is...ok.She's trying WAY too hard to be Paula Abdul, though.
Human-Christina Perri 4/10. She tries to hit the low notes, and for the most part, she's decent at it, but the first line is a failure, and that take a bit away from the song. As for the song itself, it's just another empowerment song. Nothing new, nothing substantial, and certainly nothing that separates it from the myriad of other empowerment songs like "Fight Song" and "Stronger".
Lucid Dreams-Juice Wrl 2/10. The intro isn't even music. Why do they have people arguing in the background? Do people enjoy listening to that?
The rapper is mediocre at best, but his voice is just bad. Also, did no one every tell this guy you can't rhyme a word with itself? He rhymed "you" with itself 4 times. That's painfully lazy writing.
In the Night-The Weekend 9/10. The more I listen to The Weekend, the more I really love him. His voice is great, the bass is a good accompaniment, and this is just a fantastic song overall. He can hit those high notes like a champ.
Shinedown-Second Chance 7/10. This is a good 90s jam. Shinedown has a great sound, and the backing works very well with the singer, but Shinedown is just that: 90s. There's not much that really seperates them from bands like Breaking Berjamin and Three Days Grace.
Just Another Dream by Cathy Dennis: 6/10 It was pretty groovy, but the last minute was basically just 5 seconds on loop with a fade out and it overall got repetitive for me as well.
Human by Christina Perri: 8/10 This was a pretty solid song. I really liked the chorus in particular, and the vocals and instrumentals went well together.
Lucid Dreams by Juice Wrld: 4/10 I didn't like the singer's voice. The song had a good beat but overall the song got too repetitive and I got bored listening to it.
In the Night by The Weekend: 8/10 This was a pretty cool song. I liked the entire thing, but the chorus especially sounded great.
Shinedown by Second Chance: 9/10 Overall a really good song and I enjoyed listening to it, but it's not necessarily one that I'd go out of my way to listen to again. However, if I heard it playing I'd most likely keep it on.
Just Another Dream - Cathy Dennis (8/10) This is so '90s but it's not bad. Definitely has a nice vibe to it. What is the male vocal doing there though?
Human - Christina Perri (6/10) I didn't expect a climax near the end of the song; I feel like the way it's structured in that sense clashes with the subject being sung about, but it's not bad.
Lucid Dream - Juice Wrld (6.5/10) I think the singing is fine, and there's a nice pulse to the song. However, it could have done without the weird squabbling noises in the intro and the beat is just a bit too strong.
In the Night - The Weeknd (7/10) So I'm usually not a big fan of Mr. Tesfaye's vocals, and the last line of the chorus has always felt out of place to me. But it's definitely an interesting song with sound engineering worth relistening to, so I never really minded when it kept getting played on radio back in 2016.
Second Chance - Shinedown (5/10) A song in this genre has to stand out to me for me to like it and this one didn't really do it for me.
